TEACHING ARTIST
Growing up in an impoverished neighborhood, Ed realized the importance of The Performance Arts because of its absence in his education. Through relentless perseverance and luck he was able to begin a life in the arts but realizes that not everyone is as lucky. In collaboration with various Theater Companies in The Greater Bay Area, Ed goes into lower income neighborhoods, much like the one he grew up in, and teachings young minds the basics of Theater. Even if the kids do not pursue an interest of Theater going forward the reap the benefits of it, such as working with others, public speech, analyzing text, and creating a product within a tight schedule. All of these are vital aspects in any work force.
Companies Ed has collaborated with include:
California Shakespeare Company
San Francisco Shakespeare Festival
New Conservatory Theater Center
